Who we are
Swiide ("we", "us") runs this waitlist. If you have any questions about this policy or how your information is handled, contact us at support@swiide.com.
What we collect on the waitlist
When you join the waitlist, we collect:
- Your full name, email address, college registration number and mobile number.
- Records of your consent — when you agreed, and to which version of this policy.
- Basic technical logs such as your IP address, browser type and request timestamps, used for security and rate limiting.
We do not collect any payment data on the waitlist.
Why we collect it
We use this information to:
- Run the waitlist and keep track of your place in it.
- Prevent duplicate or fake sign-ups.
- Contact you about the launch — by email, and by WhatsApp only if phone verification is enabled for your sign-up.
- Show your first name, last initial, and your position on the public waitlist.
Legal basis
We process your information on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw this consent at any time — see "Your rights" below.
Who processes it for us
We use the following service providers to run the waitlist:
- Cloud hosting — Amazon Web Services (India region).
- Database hosting — MongoDB Atlas (India region).
- Email delivery — Hostinger.
- WhatsApp messaging — Meta, only if phone verification is enabled.
We do not sell your data to anyone.
Retention
We keep your information until the waitlist ends and launch communications are complete, then delete or anonymise it within 12 months — unless you ask us to do so sooner.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or withdraw your consent, at any time. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email support@swiide.com.
For a grievance, email support@swiide.com with the subject line "Privacy request". We aim to respond within 30 days.
Children
You must be at least 13 years old to join the waitlist. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must also consent on your behalf.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any new version will carry an updated date and version number at the top of this page. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email.
